Super strong! Make sure to wear sunscreen :)

Super strong! Make sure to wear sunscreen 🙂
This adapalene gel from WELMATE is incredibly powerful and known to clear out pores! This is as strong as you can get over the counter so I would say this is very affordable for those who suffer from angry red mountains and pore issues on their skin. This is considered a retinoid and a powerful one at that so I highly recommend you use sunscreen with this. If you don't, you will get very crispy angry skin. Because this is a retinoid, I highly recommend you do not use AHA/BHA, vitamin C, or glycolic acids with this. Please make sure to moisturise as well because this is very strong. I've been using this for a week and my face is super dry as a result so you should be using a thick moisturiser with it. My skin has cleared up considerably in several days and stubborn spots are no more so this is very effective but very drying. Please be careful when using this because while it works, it will dry you out. This is a really good two-pack so I recommend it highly. 🙂

Excellent value for money product. comparable to brand names. A little goes a long way. As recommended by others, layering with moisturiser first has ensured no dry, irritated skin.
I feel my (mature) skin is looking better since starting to use this. Who would think blemishes would be an issue at my age !
Thx for helping me get on top of this issue 🙏

Do not waste your money on the pricey name-brand boxes. This generic 0.1% Adapalene gel is the exact same prescription-strength formula and clears up deep acne breakouts and blackheads just as effectively. It dries down quickly without any sticky residue. If you want a smooth face without punishing your wallet, this is an absolute 5-star steal. Just make sure to pair it with a heavy moisturizer to combat the initial dryness.

    Patience…

Patience is definitely required. This is not a spot treatment. It works by changing how skin behaves.

Never had acne—not even as a teen. But when I hit a certain age, hormonal breakouts landed terribly. It got so bad I felt like I couldn't leave my house! When I reached the point where I'd gone more than a year, I was willing to try A N Y T H I N G ! !

This product appeared on my radar so I thought, 'What have I got to lose?!'

I thank GOD for this stuff!! I started noticing improvement after a week of consistent use (once daily as recommended), and saw considerably more after 2 weeks. I'm just starting my 3rd week with this and am finally remembering what hope feels like!

It goes on easy, but does sting a bit where broken blemishes are. I do use it on my whole face, which is kind of funny because I found something new developing under my chin—NOT thinking I needed to cover MORE than just my face! I'll start spreading this love there too now.

I read a review that said this stuff is "sticky"?? It's a fast-drying gel (and it really DOES dry fast) so I don't get how it would be sticky—unless they were applying it like a mask and just hoping it would dry??! A little bit goes pretty far, so 'use sparingly' isn't merely a suggestion: it's how the product behaves. Apply it, spread it out, and keep going till all is covered. By time I'm half done, the first areas of application are already dry.

What I also love about adapalene is what another reviewer posted: it does NOT stain clothing, pillowcases, etc. I HAVE found that with benzoil peroxide—practically destroying some favorite t-shirts and don't even get me started on the silk pillowcases I had to replace 😑

This IS the first actual "retinoid" I've been able to use. Retinol obliterates my sensitive skin, but adapalene—though drying—does not.

If you've tried everything short of Accutane (or isotretinoin¹ as it is now called), you may have landed in the right place!

¹Isotretinoin is quite literally the only thing I haven't tried. For me, the risks did not outweigh <potential> benefits.

Updating my review to 5 stars now. This is a great bargain if you need to use a lot of adapalene. Big names may work better per normal dose, but can get very expensive over time. This is a very good alternative if you tolerate the carrier lotion well and need a higher dose application.

I’ve used RX retinols for years. My derm recommended this because I said the RX stuff, even at a low strength, was hard to stick to because it made my face peel. This product is great! I feel like it works. It only irritates the creases by my nose, which is probably just a sensitive area. Thumbs up! I can get the RX inexpensively but stayed with this anyway.

I am 52 years old and wanted the strongest over the counter retinol type product for fine lines & wrinkles. After doing some research I found out Differin was evidently the strongest. This brand has the exact same active ingredient as Differin but for a lot less money. I appreciate this is a gel therefore it sinks into my skin quickly, leaving zero sticky or oily residue.

it works really well, but do be careful with how much you use, or it could cause damage to your skin barrier.
I liked to buy this larger package vs the "typical" 15g (option for both, I got 45g).
This is the generic brand but all that is important to me is the active ingredient! a great value
