I just received this stepper, ordered from the Vevor website, and I have to say that I am very impressed. I love a good stepmill workout at the gym, but I really don’t love the chunk of time it takes from my day getting to and from the gym. I have been looking for a quality stepmill that doesn’t break the bank, and so far this stepper definitely fits the bill.
Pros:
1) It plugs into a standard 120 V outlet, so I didn’t have to hire an electrician to drop a wire in our home.
2) It is very compact, so we were able to get it through the doors in our home. It took two of us to do it, and we had to build it in the room, but it fit without real drama. Our doorway to the workout room is 29 inches wide, so I needed a compact machine.
3) The digital readout is LED, so no chance that a glitch in the software will turn it into a paperweight.
4) It was easy to put together with 2 people. It took us less than an hour to put together. Easy peasy.
5) The workout is definitely comparable to a solid gym stair master workout.
6) It has a little magazine ledge on the screen, perfect for my IPad.
Cons
1) The steps are not very wide, so a tall man with big feet would have issues with the size of the steps. Think CT on The Challenge falling off of the stepper bc his feet were too big…
2). This is really built for people under 200 lbs. The width is narrow, so if you are more than 25 inches wide you might not fit.
3) The emergency stop is activated if you use the lowest step. So skipping a step will not work.
4) When you pause the workout for any length of time, the timer and calorie counter resets automatically to 0:00.
5). There is a lot of lubricant on the chain, and it makes a funny swishing liquid sound when it turns on.
6) The LED screen is set a little too high, so if you are a shorty you have to look up at the screen. It is a little awkward.
7). The machine is heavy, one person cannot get this in the house or set this up alone. You will need someone to help you with the work.
Overall, the pros far outweigh the cons. This machine is well worth the price. If I have issues with it in the future, I will revise the review to reflect any problems that arise.
