I have to admit that this is my first time trying a BB cream so take my review with a grain of salt because maybe there is a learning curve on how to use this product properly. I got the shade number 23, which ended up being a good match for my fair skin and blended in pretty nicely as far as color goes. Since this product is zinc oxide based, it is pretty thick and somewhat more cumbersome to blend into the skin and it did kind of leave my skin feeling slightly tacky. However, not so much that it was unreasonable. Since I’m a bit of a newbie when it comes to these specialty skin care products, I do think $27 is a bit steep, but it was $14 at the time of writing this, which is not too bad. The packaging is “ok” and required several pumps to get the product out. I do wonder if I will be able to get all the product out of the tube as it gets emptier. The package is also solid black so you won’t ever know when you are getting low, which I do not care for. The product itself has good coverage with the added benefit of Sun protection unlike many regular foundations.
This is a great bb cream if it's a good fit for your skin. I love Mizon's snail repair cream so its awesome they made this bb cream for the same line. I appreciate that the ingredient list isnt super "busy" with a ton of botanical extracts and it doesn't have a heavy oliec load which is better for my congestion prone skin. I also have dry leaning skin, so it's hard to find a bb cream that either sits well on the skin but makes me break out or doesn't make me break out but looks dry/emphasizes texture. But my skin is very finicky and honestly nothing tinted really ever sits well on my skin due to the aforementioned details. So take this review with a grain of salt if your skin is oily or normal, this could be a great fit for you.
It has a lot of skincare forward ingredients and a great base. It is easy to blend in and you dont need a lot. Unfortunately without a primer and heavy hitting hydrating products first, this definitely still shrink wraps my skin a little and ages me by emphasizing fine lines + dry spots. I dont love layering a ton of products as my finicky skin usually rebels and responds with pimples. That being said, the formulation itself is nice if you dont have dry skin and its fragrance and EO free woohoo! This one definitely shrink wraps less than other ones I tried. I am sad because shade 23 is a perfect match for me. It has a nice pump action top which helps control not using too much each time. I included bare (bottom) vs. BB cream (top) photos. It's hard to tell from photos but in person the dry texture and fine lines are more apparent.
Normally this is $27 which isn't super expensive but also not the cheapest, but if it matches your skin well, I think the skin feel, medium coverage and no frills formulation is worth it. At time of review this is on sale for $14 which is a steal!
This BB cream with sunscreen is a real time saver and works well for combining coverage and sun protection in a single step.
It has good pigmentation and provides noticeable coverage. Fortunately, I chose the correct shade, and when applied, my skin looks smooth and well hydrated. The first time I used it, I applied too much product, so I would recommend starting with a small amount and building coverage as needed.
According to the instructions, reapplication is recommended after a few hours. I tried reapplying sunscreen over it using a stick sunscreen, but I didn't love the result, as it slightly disrupted the BB cream underneath and caused some visible residue. I may try a different method of reapplication in the future.
I will continue using it to better evaluate how it performs over time, especially in terms of wear and sunscreen compatibility.
