This sculpture is absolutely stunning for one of the shelves in my library. It will (still remodeling!) look awesome alongside my rows of books. I want something that will break up the monopoly of just books. This is it.
Since this sculpture is 13.8” high, it’s going to command some attention that’s for sure. The round stone looking center that is held up on an iron holder. I’m so glad that holder looks like brass to me. It will blend more aesthetically with my bookshelves this way. And I love the fact that the center sculpture isn’t perfect. I love that it looks like it is a chuck of stone that has been chiseled. I love the divots and imperfections. It makes me feel like I have a true piece of art.
I am cognizant that the sculpture is really light. I expected it to be much heavier. Since it is so light I will need to make sure that it is in a place, on the shelves, where it won’t fall, or be knocked over easily. I wish that it were heavier. It would lend to the sculpture being more authentic. It is priced quite high for being so light. I really do love the way that it looks and that won’t change.
