In summer we watch tv in our screened-in porch. It’s a great setup but it gets dark at night and I like being able to see a clock. I got this clock primarily because it lights up. It’s cool that it’s sound activated. It’s normally dark, but all I have to do is clap my hands or say “hey” and it lights up for about 45 seconds. It’s highly readable in both day and night. My only complaint is that the sound sensor is somewhat sensitive. You really do not need to shout at all. The problem is that sounds from the TV activate the sensor continuously… unless I watch tv with very low volume. It’s honestly not a big deal, and no star deduction for this, but just so you know.

* I like that there’s a seconds hand
* lights can be powered by USB-C (cable included, yay!) or batteries — I’m using batteries because I don’t want to see the USB cable dangling down my wall, but I’ll probably switch to USB if these 3 batteries die fast

It worked for three days and now the clock hands dont work. We have tried everything. Its so cute though!
This wall clock is lightweight and the numbers are large enough to see from afar. I like that I can choose between the light always being on or having it auto turn on. The only issue with auto turn on is that it simply just lights up at any point and time. I can tap it and the light will turn on also but it mostly just turns on when it wants. I like that the hook is easy to nail into the wall and it keeps the clock sturdy while on the wall. It does require at least 1 battery to operate but it does take hours for the battery to charge for the light to work automatically. I wish there were more color choices to choose from besides the two lights and color of the clock.
I absolutely love this clock! I bought it mainly because I have a thing for green and gold décor, and this color combination is gorgeous in person. The shade of green matches my room perfectly, and the gold trim gives it such an elegant, modern look. Even when the lights are off, it makes a beautiful statement piece on my wall.
One of my favorite features is that you have the option to power it with either 3 AA batteries or the included USB-C cord. I chose the battery option because I wanted a completely cordless, clean look, and it worked out perfectly. The 8 inch size is just right not too big and not too small and fits nicely!
The only thing I wish it included was a remote control. Having to physically take it off the wall and flip the switch to turn the lights on and off isn’t the most convenient, so I’ll probably leave the lights off most of the time. Honestly, that’s not a huge deal because I actually prefer the look of the rich green face without the lighting anyway.
To be completely honest, I didn’t even bother setting the correct time because I bought this more for the aesthetic than for actually telling time. 😂 It looks amazing on my wall, and that’s exactly what I wanted. If you’re decorating with green and gold or just want a stylish accent piece, I definitely recommend this clock!
