I’ve been using the PERFECT ONE Night Cream for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly impressed with how soft and hydrated my skin feels in the morning. The texture is rich and creamy without feeling overly greasy or heavy, and it absorbs nicely overnight.
What I like most is how moisturizing it is. My skin tends to get dry and dull, especially overnight, but this cream leaves my face feeling smooth, replenished, and noticeably more refreshed by morning. The combination of collagen and hyaluronic acid gives my skin a plumper, healthier look, and I’ve noticed my skin feels firmer and more elastic over time.
A little goes a long way, so the jar should last quite a while. It also layers well after serums without pilling or feeling sticky. I wake up with a nice glow instead of that dry, tight feeling some night creams can leave behind.
The scent is light and clean, which I appreciate because it doesn’t feel overpowering before bed.
This is a tough product to review, as the night cream itself looks and feels like it's made of decent quality ingredients and it does leave my skin feeling hydrated and smooth – but I feel that it's way overvalued in relation to the ingredients that are listed, as there are some ingredient mismatches between the listing and what's actually shown on the product itself. Im addition, while the creme is rich and thick and does offer a moisturizing experience – I feel like it's very comparable to your run of the mill face cream found in physical retail stores at a much lower value. I also do not like the creme dispenser as I much prefer a hand pump for my lotions (especially for facial products, otherwise you risk contamination/bacteria when swiping the top constantly with your finger etc).
In short, I would consider purchasing this night creme again if it were a lot less costly and the ingredients shown in the description and on the product itself were clear and honest – as I don't recommend applying anything to your skin if you don't know for certain what ingredients the product contains.
This cream has a rich texture yet feels quite lightweight because it isn't overly greasy. I love that this night cream makes my skin look dewy and plump and has some of my favorite ingredients. The base of squalane and glycerin helps to leave my skin moisturized and hydrated. The ingredient list is long and impressive with many star ingredients. I have extremely sensitive skin and rosacea so I appreciate how gentle this cream feels on my skin. This cream is pricey so I save it for times when my skin barrier needs help and it always feels soothing. The only negative for me is the price so it wouldn't be a good value for anyone on a limited budget. I included a photo of the full ingredient list so that potential buyers can evaluate the ingredients themselves.
Not gonna lie, this cream really confounded me. I'm a fan of Japanese skincare and travel to Tokyo for business several times a year. I always hit my fave stores to stock up on old favorites and try new products.
I was so happy when I saw this skincare in my feed, because it looked exactly like a product I've tried before in Tokyo! I liked it then, but only had a small sampler and always meant to give it a more thorough trial.
Then I got this, and I was very confused.
⚠️ First, this cream is shimmery. I do not recall any Japanese face cream being shimmery. Usually that shimmer means mica, which is highly reactive to my skin, so I avoid it.
Sure enough, I looked at the ingredient list, and there are nearly 100 (one hundred) ingredients in here! ⚠️ Yes, there's mica.
⚠️ Also diamond powder??? What benefit does my skin get from diamond powder? Is this an exfoliant?
I still thought this might work, I just have to be super careful with application because the mica can scratch my skin.
But that's not even the weirdest thing. The weirdest thing is that the product description has a picture which says: "Your Daily Dose of Deep Repair. 11 Types of Collagen." That's exactly what I expect from high quality Japanese skincare.
⚠️ But the looooong ingredient list shows exactly zero types of collagen in the list. Huh? I then looked at the Japanese text on the bottle. The box has no Japanese text, so this is clearly a meant for export product.
✅ The Japanese writing on the jar confirms that this is made by Shinnihonseiyaku Co., Ltd., a respected Japanese pharmaceutical and skincare company. And a product with the same name IS actually sold in Japan.
⚠️ But guess what, the ingredient list for the original Japanese product DOES contain collagen! And it DOES NOT contain mica or diamond powder either.
➡️ the bottom line is: this is an Americanized version of a great face cream, but in the process, the manufacturer swapped the collagen for shimmery stuff and a lot of botanicals. I'm actually pretty disappointed in this product.
The jar is an airless vacuum pump, but it feels inexpensive.
I hope that the great skincare brand Shinnihonseiyaku actually does import its product into the U.S., but I want to see the same formula here as what's available in Japan. Also, quite disappointed that the ingredient list doesn't match the listing description, especially regarding the collagen. Overall, disappointed in this product.
