Easy assembly, less than five minutes, using it on the bedroom nightstand, it gives the room a nice warm look with three stages of brightness. The lamp arrived nicely packaged within 48 hrs.. Assembly was quite easy; less than five mins. Here's an assembly tip: When inserting the light socket to the base, give 6-8 turns counter clockwise then as you screw the two parts together (clockwise) it will tighten nicely (some comments shown difficulty with this step). The only disadvantage with this lamp is it will not work with a wall switch to turn it on-off, you need to touch the lamp base to turn it on. I love the low light setting almost like a night light and with LED bulb it should last a long time.
Nice lamp. Easy to put together. Touch and the lights on. I like the size. Its perfect for my bedroom. Its to me is a bedroom lamp. Its small for the living room unless you want a smaller lamp in there. The shade comes flat and you clip it to the rings and then it has velcro on the shade to keep it together after you snap the rings in.
